I empower individuals, families, and couples to live their best lives by equipping them with the skills to make permanent positive changes in their lives. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Professional School counselor, I focus on unpacking emotional baggage caused by trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, etc. I am certified to teach individuals how to overcome trauma caused by domestic violence and how to heal through the addiction recovery process.
Using evidenced- based interventions, I have worked with adolescents and adults over the past four years in the community and school settings. I am a regular workshop presenter at Mental Health Awareness Conferences such as Emotional Literacy at the Maryland Alternative School Conference, Prince George County Principals Conference and Spirit Of Faith Christian Center’s annual Mental Health Awareness Conference. My discussion topics include but are not limited to, Emotional Literacy, Stress Management and Parenting.
I graduated from Bowie State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and received two Master’s degrees in Administrative Management and Master of Education in School Counseling. Additionally, I hold an Addictions Counseling Certificate from Anne Arundel Community College.
I understand that healthy relationships, emotional literacy and creative outlets are important factors to mental health. I have a great family and we enjoy traveling and attending Church together. I also enjoy designing t-shirts and photography.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey to healing!
